The latch functions well. The screws and nuts that hold the arms in place are replacements.
The original mica or glass insert is missing from the front medallion. It is approximately 2 and 1/4 inches thick.
The box measures approximately 6 and 1/2 inches wide, 8 and 3/4 inches high in the front and 10 inches high in the back. The surface has natural patination and a small amount of age verdigris but it could be polished if you so desire. Condition natural patination and age verdigris as mentioned above including a bit on the inside.
One magazine newspaper arm is out of round. An original vintage wall mounted arts crafts Mission metal mailbox with magazine newspaper arms. This could be replaced or left as it is.
