Shipping handling shipping costs are what post office charges me with only minor handling included. There is also a long slot towards the bottom.
I do not keep overages. Fun item for anyone who collects old steamship items since it says right on the front of this box that the bank must have handled steamship tickets the second flap is a bigger opening. American national and Belmont Ave's. First flap says mail and has slot for putting letters, tickets, etc.

A vintage item will show some signs of wear. I found information online that said they moved into this location 245 Springfield avenue around 1909 and by 1927 the bank had merged with fidelity union trust company of newark.
I sell on as a fun hobby. On the back there is a circle with letters that is likely the maker's mark but it is upside down and I can't read it.
